24-year-old Ukrainian Marko Topchii won prestigious international guitar contest Gredos San Diego held in Madrid.
The Ukrainian guitar player was the best in all three contest stages (firm program, free program, guitar concert with symphony) and left behind musicians from Korea and Japan.
Thus, Marko has gained his 25th victory. He started studying music being a preschooler and now he is a world class virtuoso. Now, it is almost impossible to find him at home during the “season”. For example, the guitarist threw himself to Madrid competition straight from New York, where he appeared on stage at famous Carnegie Hall.
At the end of May, Marko is going to give a concert in Germany; the prestigious contest “Parkening”, USA, is his next destination.
