“For people who have high uric acid and gout, we recommend eliminating legumes from the diet, as these foods increase acid levels and exacerbate the disease. And also we advise you to limit the use of these crops to citizens with pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract, which are accompanied by increased gas formation. That is, you can eat legumes only during the period when there are no exacerbations, ”said Shchetinina.

She noted that in order to reduce the impact on the body of leguminous crops, it is enough to simply heat them. Shchetinina emphasized that during their preparation, the outer shell is destroyed, which reduces the manifestation of side elements, such as bloating. Otherwise, the absorption of nutrients will be difficult.
