Residents of the Khabarovsk village are asked to pick up abandoned horses dying of hunger from the herd

The village of Glavny Stan in the Khabarovsk Territory began to be regularly visited by horses that were once domestic, but now run wild and huddled in herds. According to the Amur Mash Telegram channel, the inhabitants feed them, but these ungulates risk starving to death, as there is a lot of snow in the region and it is difficult for them to get their own food.

One of the villagers told reporters that before gold miners got to the Main Mill on horseback - it was easier that way than by car. But now the village is empty, there are only 200 inhabitants left in it.

Dozens of horses were left without owners - someone left the village, someone had nothing to feed and the animal was kicked out of the house. Horses huddled in wild herds.

This winter is especially difficult for them - large snowdrifts make it difficult to get food, the source said. The locals add oats and hay, but this is not enough - the animals die of hunger. The foals that were born this year have already died, many horses are exhausted. In addition, the residents themselves are limited in funds.

The inhabitants of the Main Camp would like that there was a person who would take the horses and take care of them. They have already advertised for sale - but they only received calls to buy animals for meat - they do not agree to this. The one who will take care of the horses will be given them free of charge.

Earlier it was reported that the horse Pie from the Sopranos had died.
