On February 2, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office to recognize the Columbine movement as a terrorist movement in the country. It is reported by TASS.

"Satisfy the administrative claim of the Attorney General's office, recognize the Columbine movement as terrorist," the judge announced.

Consideration of the administrative claim was held behind closed doors.

Now posting calls for actions like Columbine online or reposting them will be considered by Russian law enforcement agencies as preparation of terrorist acts. Public statements justifying mass murders will also fall under the scope of the article on propaganda of terrorism, TASS clarifies.

The State Duma in 2018 adopted a law on measures to combat the creators of the so-called columbine communities. On the basis of this law, Roskomnadzor organized work to block prohibited information. In 2020-2021, more than 750 references were added to the Columbine Prohibited Information Registry.
