In Kuzbass, an internal check was launched after a video of one of the patients of the therapeutic department of the city hospital of Mezhdurechensk published on social networks. It is reported by Rossiyskaya.
The man stated that one of his roommates died more than an hour ago, but there is no information from the hospital staff. All this time, the body of the deceased was next to them in a small room.
The patient who recorded the video also said that he had been ill with the coronavirus and was suffering from diabetes. Because of the pain in the joints, it is difficult for him to move around, and the doctors prescribed rest.
“By order of the chief doctor of the hospital, a commission has been created that will assess the actions of medical personnel and identify employees who have violated the regulations of a medical organization,” the regional Ministry of Health told the publication.
In addition, the head physician of the health care institution and the Deputy Minister of Health of Kuzbass explained the situation to the man who recorded the video. Other patients received official apologies and were informed about the ongoing check.
Earlier, in the City Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 1 on Siqueiros Street in St. Petersburg, three people died, three more were hospitalized. Suspicion fell on barium sulfate, a suspension of which is used as a contrast agent for x-rays of the stomach. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case.
Later, the court arrested two deputy chief doctors of the medical center - Natalya Surovenko and Alexandra Feofanova. The head physician of the center, Yevgeny Popov, was detained.
