According to her, the owners of apartments who rent out their living space should not hand over documents on ownership of it to tenants. In addition, you should obtain a copy of the passport data of tenants.

“In order to exclude any possibility of selling an apartment without your knowledge, you should file an application with Rosreestr for a ban on registration actions without the participation of the owner,” the realtor said.
