Russia - Neurologist Golubinskaya spoke about the peculiarities of headache with omicron

Russia (bbabo.net), - When infected with the "omicron" strain of coronavirus, patients often complain of a headache. This was told by the candidate of medical sciences, neurologist Olga Golubinskaya, noting that the head can also hurt when infected with other strains.

She explained that the virus partially crosses the blood-brain barrier, where it causes swelling, resulting in a hypertensive headache. Unlike migraine, an omicron headache compresses the entire head rather than one side, Golubinskaya said in an interview with Sputnik radio.

With such a headache, the doctor recommended to keep calm and not go anywhere. You need to drink more water, take analgesics and vitamin C, "you can also tie a cool bandage on your head."

The neurologist emphasized: if you really have a coronavirus, then you need to see a doctor and be treated accordingly.
