Russia (bbabo.net) - Ivanovo investigators opened a criminal case on the death of four children during a fire in the regional center of Yuryevets.

A message about a fire in a private wooden house on Soviet Army Square was received by rescuers at 8:29. 10 fire engines were sent to put out the fire, according to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region. An hour later, the fire was extinguished, its area was 50 square meters.

Rescuers found the bodies of four children in the house: from 1 to 10 years old.

- According to preliminary information, a mother with four children lived in the burnt house. The family is characterized as dysfunctional, the mother's whereabouts are being established, - they said in the department of the TFR in the Ivanovo region.

A criminal case was initiated under article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence). During the investigation, a legal assessment will be given to the work of the organs of the prevention system.
