For Russians living in Baikonur, organized a new benefit

Russians living in Baikonur will receive 600 certificates in 2022 for resettlement in Russia and the purchase of housing, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in the city.

“In 2022, it is planned to issue 600 housing certificates. Now there are 598 families in the queue for resettlement, there are 1399 people in them. That is, almost everyone who is for resettlement must receive certificates,” the message says.

It is assumed that under this certificate, migrants can receive up to 1.3 million rubles - however, this amount will not be enough to buy housing in Russia.

Initially, the program for providing housing for citizens resettled from Baikonur operated from 2002 to 2013, during which time 7,000 people moved to Russia.

The program resumed in 2018 and has continued up to the present time.

Earlier, a high-risk regime was announced at Baikonur due to the threat of a terrorist attack.
