Earlier, the DPR announced that Ukraine had deployed an S-300 division to the Donbass to prepare an offensive. Eduard Basurin, deputy head of the People's Militia Department of the DPR, also said that British and Polish mercenaries were involved in the Donbass.

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, said that Kiev would not resolve the issue of ownership of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions by force, fearing a mass death of the population.

He also called “fiction” the assumptions about Kiev’s readiness to launch an offensive in the Donbass and expressed confidence that the region, like Crimea, would return to Ukraine, it was only a matter of time.
