Clinical trials of a nasal coronavirus vaccine developed by Generium began in Moscow. This was reported on the mos.ru portal.

It is planned that more than 600 people will participate in these studies.

“This vaccine is identical in composition of active ingredients to Sputnik V, intended for intramuscular injection. Earlier, on the basis of our polyclinics, a study of the nasal vaccine of the N.F. Gamaleya, - said Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

Experts will begin to study the safety and effectiveness of a nasal vaccine against coronavirus infection. The participants, divided into two groups, will receive an intramuscular injection and a nasal injection of the drug.

One group of participants will have the study vaccine sprayed and placebo injected, and the other group will have placebo spray and Sputnik V injected. Volunteers will be under medical supervision for 365 days.

All volunteers will undergo a medical examination. At the same time, any healthy citizen (from 18 to 60 years old) can join the research.

Earlier, doctor Alexander Myasnikov named a way to protect yourself from dangerous infections that destroy the brain. He stressed that people are dying from pneumococcal, meningococcal and hemophilic infections.

Austrian entrepreneurs also called for the approval of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
