The explosion occurred at the NitroErg explosives factory in Poland's Krupski Mlyn in the Silesian Voivodeship. It is reported by radio station RMF FM.

According to the radio station, one of the buildings on the territory of the plant was destroyed as a result. It is noted that the explosion was heard for many kilometers around. So, one of the local residents said that 20 kilometers from the scene “windows were shaking”.

There is no information about victims yet. Currently, two people are being sought who were at the scene of the explosion. A NitroErg spokesman stressed in a commentary to the radio station that there is no danger to local residents.

Several dozen firefighters are working at the scene, and helicopters of the Polish sanitary and rescue service from Krakow, Gliwice and Opole were also sent there.

Last November, a similar incident occurred at the EDePro factory for the production of anti-hail missiles in the suburbs of Belgrade. The explosion that took place there claimed the lives of two people, another 15 people were injured. In total, there were about 100 employees at the plant. The fire also spread to cars parked in the parking lot next to the plant. In addition, the roof of the factory exploded.
