A 103-year-old Hong Kong man died after eating chocolate cake before bed, writes Asia One. In the midst of the meal, the man lost consciousness and could not recover.

The ambulance was called by the son of the deceased, who found his father lying on the floor. The doctors who arrived at the call tried to resuscitate the man at home, but could not and took the patient to the hospital.

Already in the clinic, a group of doctors continued to fight for the pensioner's life, but the doctors were powerless - the man died without regaining consciousness. Initially, experts thought that the Chinese died by choking on a piece of cake, but the autopsy did not confirm this.

At the moment, the official cause of the man's death has not been established, but, according to doctors, the pensioner had heart problems.

Earlier, the man ended up in the hospital after eating a store-bought cake with glass.
