Russia (bbabo.net), - A monitoring center for solving industrial and information security issues at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex has been established in Kemerovo. Previously, enterprises in the region did not work in this format.
The project was based on the results of scientific and technological research conducted by specialists from the engineering center of the Kuzbass State Technical University named after T.F. Gorbachev. They have developed a set of preventive and anti-crisis measures for mining companies and energy companies, including coal miners, gas workers and oil workers. Data from these and other hazardous industries can be sent to the Center for Comprehensive Safety Monitoring in real time, as well as to state emergency services. Based on the information received, it is possible not only to assess the situation, but also to form recommendations in case of a fire, a terrorist threat, a cyber attack, and other threats.
According to RIA Novosti, the systems installed at the enterprises automatically notify specialists about the accident and the place of its occurrence. But the main thing is that constant monitoring makes it possible to predict life-threatening situations and warn the management of the enterprise about them. Employees of the university center will help calculate the time required for people to leave the danger zone and the optimal location of rescue points.
According to Aleksey Zhitnikov, Deputy Director for Information Security and Digital Technologies of the KuzGTU Information Center, specialists monitor the safety of technological processes, conduct audits, install and repair technical devices, and introduce smart technologies at enterprises. Among them are interactive 3D maps with access via mobile devices, object recognition systems, and more. So, for example, the system recognizes a person with a gun in his hands in time, which will help to quickly block the doors. Similar technologies are planned to be introduced at the university.
Monitoring will prevent industrial and economic espionage, which can threaten the operation of enterprises. In addition, there are plans to establish control and study of the territories where coal miners work. Special equipment will prevent unauthorized mining and control the safety of abandoned mines.
