Prince Andrew will not be subpoenaed in New York court

Elizabeth II's son Prince Andrew and Victoria Giuffre, who accused him of forcing her to have sex as a minor, have reached an agreement in principle before the trial. It is reported by the Daily Mail.

This follows from the documents received on Monday, February 14, in the court of New York.

“Virginia Giuffre and Prince Andrew have reached a pre-trial agreement,” the document says. “The parties will file an agreed petition to withdraw the claim after the satisfaction of the requirements of Ms. Giuffre (the amount of the agreement is not called).”

Under the terms of the agreement, Prince Andrew pledged to make "significant donations" to Virginia Giuffre's charitable foundation for victims of sexual assault. The document also states that the Duke never set out to harm the woman and admits that she suffered from both sexual violence and public harassment.

In addition, Prince Andrew expressed regret over his friendship with financier Jeffrey Epstein.

“Jeffrey Epstein is known to have involved countless young girls in the sex slave trade over the years,” the letter reads. "Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein and appreciates the courage of Ms Giuffre and other survivors of violence to stand up for themselves and others."

The Duke also pledged to continue to advocate for all victims of the sex trade.

The withdrawal of the lawsuit means that Virginia Giuffre will not testify against Prince Andrew in court, and he himself will not be called to testify before the jury.

Earlier it was reported that the original photograph of 2001, which proved the acquaintance of the Duke of York with Virginia Giuffre (nee Roberts), was lost.
