Russia (bbabo.net) - A criminal case was opened on the fact of ice and snow falling from the canopy of a five-story residential building on Voroshilov Street in Penza, the Investigative Committee of the Penza Region reported.

A 67-year-old resident was injured, she received a broken leg and bruises. The victim was hospitalized from the scene.

- A criminal case has been initiated under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for the provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers. A legal assessment will be given to the actions or inaction of the employees of the management company responsible for cleaning the roof and canopies of entrances from snow and ice, - explained Tatyana Makhnitskaya, senior assistant to the head of the SU SK in the Penza region.
