Russia (bbabo.net) - Customs officers seized a large consignment of jewelry, clothing and leather goods at Sheremetyevo Airport. Undeclared goods were tried to be imported into the country by a French citizen who flew in from Amsterdam, the press service of the Federal Customs Service reports.

It is noted that the passenger tried to cross the "green" corridor (the passage through it implies the absence of any items or things subject to declaration). During the inspection, the man presented a Van Cleef & Arpels pendant, chain and gold pendant.

"During the customs inspection of his luggage, the inspector found 59 items - clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry of famous brands Chanel, Hermes, Fendi, Prada and others," the FCS said.

Customs estimated the total value of the goods at almost 10 million rubles. The amount of unpaid duties exceeded 2.7 million rubles.

Now the issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
