Two ex-heads of the Tyazhstankogidropress plant were detained in Novosibirsk, they were suspected of stealing the organization's property. This was reported by TASS with reference to the official representative of the Federal Security Service (FSB) in the region, Irina Zebrova.
“The Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region initiated a criminal case against two suspects on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Fraud committed by a group of persons on an especially large scale”), both citizens were detained, ”Zebrova specified.
Investigators found that in the period from 2016 to 2020, the defendants in the investigation arranged transactions that were aimed at alienating the property of the enterprise at a deliberately low cost. All this was done without the knowledge of shareholders and members of the Board of Directors of the plant.
Because of the machinations carried out, buildings, a land plot, equipment, as well as a 100% share in the authorized capital of an agricultural company owned by the plant, were removed from Tyazhstankogidropress.
On February 15, the court will determine the preventive measure for the suspects.
Since 2020, the plant has been going through bankruptcy proceedings. In August 2021, the activities of Tyazhstankogidropress were suspended for 90 days based on a court decision on the order of the fire inspectorate.
Earlier, an official was arrested in Tyumen on suspicion of embezzlement of 5 million rubles.
