Earlier, information appeared that a newborn daughter was not given to the mother in a medical institution due to the lack of payment for the services rendered.
The Ministry of Health of the region reported the following. The woman was admitted to the regional perinatal center of the City Clinical Hospital No. 40 on January 31. With her, she had only a temporary identity card issued by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and a birth certificate from another state. The mother did not have an exchange card.
With her consent, all medical examinations were carried out. The girl was born on time, February 1. The mother was discharged on February 4, and the child was transferred to the department of pathology of newborns and premature babies due to the presence of a disease in a woman in labor. The mother agreed to antiretroviral therapy and further examination of the baby.
On February 14, a medical certificate was issued to the mother, which must be presented to the registry office in order to receive a birth certificate.
- On the issue of providing paid medical care, we inform you that according to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 6, 2013 No. 186, foreign citizens receive medical care on a paid basis. But, despite this decision, no invoice was issued to the woman in labor and no claims were sent for payment, the Ministry of Health explained. - With the correct execution of documents for the child and after the doctors are sure of his state of health, the baby will be discharged and transferred to the legal representative.
