Russia (bbabo.net), - The Gamaleya Center is waiting to start research on a new vaccine based on virus-like particles of different strains of coronavirus, including Delta and Omicron. This was told by the director of the center Alexander Gintsburg, Interfax reports.

“We turned to the Ministry of Health, the entire package of documents was submitted there to obtain permission to conduct clinical trials of a vaccine based on virus-like particles, which includes various S-proteins of the coronavirus, including omicron and delta,” Gunzburg said.

According to the scientist, the center is waiting for permission from the Ministry of Health in the near future. Gintsburg noted that this vaccine could be useful to fight new strains, if there are any after Omicron.

Also, the head of the Gamaleya Center said that in the near future, studies of a drug based on antibodies for coronavirus should also take place.
