Thailand allowed vaccinated Sputnik Light to arrive in the country without quarantine

The Thai authorities have allowed people who have been vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik Light vaccine to visit the country without quarantine. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the kingdom.

The department noted that those vaccinated with Sputnik Light can register through the Thailand Pass system, but only to use the sandbox program, one of the main conditions of which is the mandatory seven-day stay within certain territories.

It is noted that from February 1, the “sandbox” is available in Phuket, in the provinces of Krabi, Phangnga, Trat (Chang Island), Surat Thani (Tao Islands, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui) and Chonburi (Banglamung, Si Racha, Sichang Island and Pattaya). Among the airports where you can arrive on the program are Koh Samui, Krabi, Utapao, Suvannaphum (Suvarnabhumi), Don Mueang and Phuket.

Andrey Snetkov, the general representative of the Tez Tour tour operator in Southeast Asia, noted that the inclusion of Sputnik Light in the list of vaccines allowed for entry into Thailand under the sandbox program is a very big step for the development of tourism and an increase in passenger traffic from Russia.

Earlier it was reported that Russian tourists vaccinated with Sputnik V can visit the Indonesian island of Bali from February 4.
