Russia (bbabo.net), - The North-Western Interregional Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor is checking information that in St. Petersburg, workers in vests dumped dirty snow into the Neva River from Pirogovskaya Embankment. This was reported to the department.

A video appeared on the Internet, which was filmed by residents of the city. Presumably, the men dumping snow are employees of one of the city's enterprises engaged in cleaning the road network. Rosprirodnadzor sent a request to the Committee for the Improvement of the Northern Capital to identify the organization responsible for cleaning this site. After the Office receives a response, a procedural decision will be made. For violation of the requirements for the protection of water bodies, as well as pollution of their ice surface, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles.

The agency is also checking the discharge of contaminated meltwater from the construction site into the Okhta River near the Energetikov bridge in the Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg.
