In the first batches of restyled Lada Vesta cars, sales of which will start this year, there may be problems with electronics, experts said.

As Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of the Za Rulem magazine, said, the updated Lada Vesta in expensive trim levels will have a lot of new electronics. At the first stages of car production, potential problems and failures are possible in its work.

“The mechanical part of the car has long been known and debugged, but new electronic systems can theoretically fail, especially in the first batches,” Kadakov suggested.

Independent automotive consultant Sergey Burgazliev recommended that potential buyers of the updated Vesta wait a couple of months after the start of sales before all the problems are identified and fixed in the next batches of the model.

“Not a single automaker is immune from some childhood illnesses at the stage of launching production. As a rule, such shortcomings are detected fairly quickly,” he said.

The main innovations of Lada Vesta FL (FL - facelift) are expected in the cabin. According to insiders, the cars will be equipped with a digital instrument panel and a large vertical screen of the multimedia system. According to unofficial data, the start of production of commercial batches of the restyled Lada Vesta is scheduled for early March, and dealers will have these cars closer to May.
