Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko said that in 2022, 588 thousand people will be able to enter Russian universities for state-funded places. It is reported by TASS.
Chernyshenko noted that in the 2022-2023 academic year, the number of budget places will increase by 11.5 thousand compared to the previous admission company. According to the vice-premier, the number of state-funded places is increasing every year, when forming the target enrollment figures, first of all, market demands, indicators of state programs, projects, as well as the need of the regions themselves for professional personnel are taken into account.
The head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Valery Falkov, said that the admission campaign at Russian universities in 2022 will begin on June 20 and will last until August.
Earlier, Rosobrnadzor stated that there were no grounds for changing the dates or canceling the Unified State Exam and the Unified State Examination this year.
The department also added that today there are no reasons for canceling or postponing the final interview in the Russian language for grades 9, it will take place as previously set.
