Russia - RTU MIREA will train specialists to work with domestic software

Russia (bbabo.net), - Starting from the new academic year, RTU MIREA will begin training specialists in system programming, as well as the implementation and maintenance of domestic software. For the first time in Russia, the university has signed agreements with leading domestic developers of microelectronics and software.

Experts are sure that soon all digital processes in healthcare, energy, chemical industry and other areas will work mainly on Russian software and equipment. And, of course, there is a growing demand in companies for specialists who can work with the latest domestic developments. Universities need to prepare such personnel "for the future" - already now it is necessary to give students the knowledge and skills that will be relevant in a few years.

- RTU MIREA is the first university that launches a large-scale comprehensive cooperation program to train specialists to work with domestic software and equipment, - says Rector Stanislav Kudzh. - I am sure that together with our partners, JSC Baikal Electronics and the Astra group of companies, in a few years we will be able to bring young specialists to the labor market who will have relevant, not outdated knowledge, and will help the Russian economy accelerate the course towards import substitution.

According to Kuja, the university has already begun work on the creation of laboratories and an authorized training center. The university is also ready to switch to the Astra Linux operating system and Baikal processors. Teachers will be able to take a refresher course.

By the way, schoolchildren who come to classes at the children's technopark "Altair" on the basis of RTU MIREA will also be able to study the developments.

- We understand how important it is to "grow" such specialists from school age and in universities - before they enter the labor market, and also pay attention to improving the skills of already ready professionals. Our agreement with RTU MIREA is a serious step for the development of the microelectronics industry in Russia, - commented Andrey Evdokimov, CEO of Baikal Electronics, a company producing modern energy-efficient Russian microprocessors.

RTU MIREA will offer courses for all levels of education: secondary, professional, higher and additional professional.

- Comprehensive programs designed for everyone - from schoolchildren to ready-made specialists - include training in working with both software and hardware, - said Ilya Sivtsev, CEO of Astra Group of Companies, a group of companies that unites domestic IT brands. - One of the key aspects of our cooperation is an integrated approach to personnel training.
