FAS will check the information on the increase in heating prices

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia will analyze the information about the increase in heating prices for citizens. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the FAS.

“The agency will analyze the information that has appeared in the media and social networks about the increase in heating prices for the population in order to comply with antimonopoly and tariff laws,” the FAS said in a statement.

The department advised to contact the State Housing Inspectorate if a citizen considers the price in the final receipt for housing and communal services (HCS) to be too high due to incorrect calculations.

In mid-2022, Russians are waiting for an increase in the cost of utilities - most of all prices will rise in Chechnya, St. Petersburg and Crimea. As lawyers said, in order to avoid overpayments for low-quality or optional services, it is necessary to learn how to understand payments. In particular, if we are talking about services such as concierge, it cannot be indicated as a separate item in the payment slip. At the same time, it is also possible to prove a service of poor quality, but it is much more difficult.
