Workers of a marble quarry in the village of Tashkesigi in the Antalya region found on one of the pieces of the stone being mined the inscription bismillah بسملة‎ - In the name of the One God - made in Arabic script. The inscription appeared to the eyes of employees during the grinding of a stone slab cut from the rock mass.

Considering the find a historical discovery, the leaders of the Antalya Marble Commercial and Industrial Company transferred the stone to the Suleyman Demirel University in the city of Isparta for further study.

Scientists Fizuli Yagmurlu, Rashit Altyndag and Nazmi Sengyun, who studied the stone, came to amazing conclusions.

Inside the stone, the remains of organisms that inhabited the planet during the Jurassic period, that is, 198 million years ago, were found; no signs were found on it that the stone was mined and processed earlier. As a result, scientists concluded that the inscription is a completely natural phenomenon and was formed due to the fragmentation and deformation of mollusk shells.

According to Ahmet Ogke, dean of the Faculty of Theology at the Mediterranean University, the inscription on the stone looks exactly the same as in the text of the Koran, according to the Daily Sabah.
