Russia (bbabo.net), - The Stavropol Regional Court has delivered a verdict in a high-profile case of the murder of a six-year-old son by a drunken father in Pyatigorsk. A child with a disability could not move independently, so he was left alone with his raging father when his mother and sister fled into the street. According to the press service of the Stavropol Territory Prosecutor's Office, the man regularly beat his young daughter.

- It was established that a resident of Pyatigorsk had been abusing alcohol and drugs for a long time. Being in a state of intoxication, he became aggressive and caused scandals both with his wife and with his young daughter, who were forced to leave home and spend the night with relatives and friends. During the scandals, the man struck his daughter with punches and kicks, and also insulted her, the Stavropol prosecutor's office said in a statement.

In January 2021, due to the inappropriate behavior of a man, his wife and daughter ended up on the street. At some point, the offender grabbed a knife and stabbed his six-year-old disabled son in the neck. The child died on the spot. The man was arrested by the police who arrived at the scene.

In court, the offender did not plead guilty to the murder, but the jury, having considered the evidence provided, concluded that the defendant was guilty under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Murder of a minor", "Illegal possession of drugs" and "Improper performance of duties of raising a minor by a parent, combined with cruel treatment with a minor." As a result, the man was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime colony.
