Scots scared of clouds that look like flying jellyfish

The inhabitants of Scotland were frightened by the clouds, which, in their opinion, looked like flying jellyfish, reports the Mirror.

Brian Morrison from Glasgow was one of those who took a series of photographs of bizarre clouds. After he posted the pictures on social networks, commentators began to jokingly call on people to save themselves.

“Oh my God, giant jellyfish aliens, run,” wrote one of the locals.

Another witness, Jan Edwards, said the clouds were really unusual and cool, but at the same time eerie, as if the world was about to end.

According to experts, unusual clouds were formed during a thunderstorm. This is because warm, moist updrafts rise to the upper troposphere, where temperatures even out, creating "hanging" clouds.

Previously, scientists have explained the differences in clouds in different hemispheres of the Earth.
