After Polina crashed on a jet ski, from January 20, 2022, the girl was in a hospital in the city of Denpasar. Treatment at a local clinic led to serious consequences: the doctors operated on her leg, but Polina's brain was damaged after the operation. Local doctors were unable to stabilize her condition, and later put the patient in an artificial coma, making a diagnosis of "fat embolism".

Polina can only be transported in a lying position, accompanied by a resuscitation team. Such conditions can be provided by a special air ambulance flight, a flight on which from Indonesia to St. Petersburg will cost about 15 million rubles.

Medical insurance in the amount of $50,000 only partially covered the cost of staying in the intensive care unit and two surgeries. A day in intensive care in Bali costs 150,000 rubles, kp.ru reports.
