The official representative of the People's Militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Eduard Basurin, said that due to the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a threat was created to the water supply of 40 settlements in the region, according to the Telegram department.

It is noted that the situation on the line of contact remains critical: the Ukrainian security forces continue shelling the civilian infrastructure of the region. So, in the Donetsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire from mortars on the settlement of Vasilyevka, as a result of which it was de-energized. The operation of the pumping station was also stopped, which jeopardized the water supply of five filter stations in Donbass on both sides of the contact line, which provide water to more than 40 settlements, the report said.

The Donetsk filtration station was transferred to a backup water supply.

Representatives of the DPR reported the facts of violations to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC).

Earlier, the DPR reported damage to transformer stations in several settlements as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In connection with the threat to civilians, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced the start of a mass evacuation to Russia. He also signed a decree on general mobilization in the DPR.
