Poll: Russians worry about product quality more than price

Russia (bbabo.net), - Almost half of the buyers - 41% - when choosing food, they more often follow the quality than the price of the goods. They also give preference to the naturalness of the product. True, 28% first pay attention to the affordability of the price, 12% consider the taste characteristics of the product to be the most important indicator. These are the key results of the Rosselkhozbank poll commissioned by RIA Novosti.

At the same time, about 60% of the survey participants noticed that domestic products are not inferior in quality to foreign ones, a third - 33% are completely convinced that Russian products are more natural and better than imported ones. Only 6% choose products mainly of foreign production.

The shift in priorities in favor of domestic food products, according to the organizers of the survey, occurred both due to the import substitution program and due to the pandemic and subsequent restrictions. "A healthy lifestyle and its maintenance have consolidated their positions and have become an integral part of the lifestyle of the majority," sociologists state.

For 44% of respondents, farm products became the basis of a healthy diet. 29% admit that natural products are difficult for them to find, and 27% said that for them, healthy eating means giving up fast food.

According to the results of the survey, 41% prefer shopping for groceries in chain supermarkets within walking distance. 26% still choose what is further, but cheaper - markets and weekend fairs. Hypermarkets can afford 23%, and non-chain grocery stores go to 10% of study participants.
