The mayor of Donetsk, Aleksey Kulemzin, said that the movement of municipal vehicles was stopped in the city due to the fact that buses are used to evacuate residents.

“The movement of municipal vehicles in the city of Donetsk has been stopped in connection with the involvement of equipment for the evacuation of citizens,” he wrote in the Telegram channel.

The railroad is also used to evacuate local residents. Citizens can go to Russia from the station "Donetsk-2" in the Kalininsky district of the city, as well as from stations located in the cities of Makeevka and Ilovaisk.

On February 18, the heads of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics announced the evacuation of citizens, explaining such a measure as a threat of an imminent attack by the Ukrainian military.
