90% of entrepreneurs have tried working remotely while traveling

Almost half of Russians (45%) go on business trips on average once every six months for several days, follows from a survey by Ozon Travel for business and WeWork, an international leader in flexible office spaces, received by .

A quarter of respondents prefer to work in co-working spaces during business trips and choose hotels that can provide them. Most of the travel expenses for coworking spaces are covered by companies.

Only 3% of the Russians surveyed have nothing to do with business trips. The rest go on business trips once every six months (45%, this is the most common answer) or once a year (27%). Another 12% of respondents travel to other cities to resolve business issues once a month or more.

Most business trips are in companies operating in the field of marketing and telecom: 29% and 14% of employees, respectively, in these industries travel on business at least once a month. In real estate, sales, manufacturing and agriculture, workers mostly have to go on business travel once a year (33%, 28% and 32% respectively).

Most of all, business owners go on business trips: 35% of them go on business trips once a month or more. Among top managers, those who actively travel around the country are three times less (11%), every tenth employee travels at least once a month, and only 8% of freelancers.

For the majority of Russians (53%) business trips last several days. A quarter of respondents (27%) spend on business trips on average per week. 12% manage to solve everything in one day, and 8% have to work away from home for a month or more.

A third of Russians (30%) on business trips work in the office of the company, partner or client they are visiting, another 12% work at offsite events. A quarter (23%) deal with business in a hotel room and the same number are comfortably located in co-working spaces.

More than a third of Russians (38%) say that they choose only those hotels that have co-working spaces for accommodation on a business trip. Another 44% want the work area to be located close to the hotel. A third complain that they lack a comfortable workplace, a little less (29%) complain about poor Internet.

Also, on business trips, Russians highly appreciate the silence and comfort in the hotel (43%), stable Wi-fi (38%), the proximity of the place of residence to the city center or office (32%).
