Russia - A cardiologist explained at what pulse it is necessary to urgently call an ambulance

Russia (bbabo.net), - Such a condition as fainting can occur against the background of complete health, but in a number of situations it is a rather dangerous sign and indicates the development of certain diseases. This was told in an interview with aif.ru by the candidate of medical sciences, therapist, cardiologist Azizkhon Askarov.

It is necessary to be examined and treated as soon as possible if, during fainting, the patient has a rare heartbeat of less than 40 beats per minute, or, conversely, very fast - more than 200 beats per minute. This indicates a violation in the work of the heart. It is noted that syncope often occurs against the background of arrhythmia and acute violation of cardiac contractility (for example, in myocardial infarction, pericarditis, fluid accumulation and compression of the heart).

In addition, there are a number of symptoms, the appearance of which during fainting requires the help of a neurologist, cardiologist or therapist. So, when fainting, a long-term impairment of consciousness (more than 5 minutes), respiratory failure, convulsions (muscle twitching of large muscles - arms and legs, neck, biting the tongue) is dangerous.

In case of fainting, waiting for the arrival of the ambulance, the patient should be transferred to a horizontal position, unfasten clothing and provide air flow.

“You should also try to raise your legs. In this way, we will improve blood flow to the heart and brain,” said therapist (resident) Alina Manaenkova.
