The action was held in support of the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics.

On Tuesday, it was reported that a motor rally took place in Moscow in honor of Russia's recognition of the independence of the DNR and LNR. Participants drove through the streets of the capital on their own vehicles. The cars were decorated with the flags of the Russian Federation, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. The event was attended by about 103 cars and 300 people.
