Chilean activists from ‘Miles Chile’ NGO have created three satirical videos entitled ‘Abortion Tutorial’ showing women how to end unwanted pregnancies by falling down stairs, standing in oncoming traffic and getting hit by a car, and cutting their heels off so they fall into a fire hydrant.
“Don’t look down because you could back out. Close your eyes, breathe out, and let yourself fall,” one of the videos explains.
The message is that in Chile an accidental abortion is the only kind of abortion that is not considered a crime.
The senators will vote on the abortions bill in September, and if they vote in favour of therapeutic abortions, they would come into effect in 2016.
