High alert mode introduced in Crimea

The Crimean authorities decided to introduce a high alert regime on the peninsula. This was stated by the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov in his Telegram channel.

According to him, this is necessary for the possibility of a simplified solution of emerging problems.

“Evacuation from the border settlements of the republic is not carried out. Nevertheless, measures have been taken to help those who want to leave these settlements for the center of Crimea,” Aksyonov wrote.

He also stressed that nothing threatens the life and health of Crimeans.

Earlier it was reported that on the afternoon of February 24, all checkpoints were closed in Crimea on the border with Ukraine. According to Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the republic, temporary restrictions will be maintained until further notice.
