Russia (bbabo.net) - On Thursday around noon in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the building of a three-story shopping center located on Lenin Street caught fire.

According to the press service of the regional head office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the first fire brigades arrived at the scene two minutes after the call. By this time, thick smoke was rising from the roof of the building. About three dozen visitors were taken outside, no one was hurt. Firefighters dealt with the fire quickly.

Later it became known that the fire originated in the ventilation shaft of the building. There is a restaurant in the mall.

The prosecutor's office has already become interested in the incident. During the audit, the department will find out how the fire safety rules were observed in the center.

"If there are grounds, prosecutorial response measures will be taken," the statement says.
