Became known routes for the export of Russians remaining in Europe

Russian tourists who are in European countries that have closed their airspace to Russian aircraft are going to be returned home in transit through Turkey, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This was stated by Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) Dmitry Gorin, RIA Novosti reports.

“Transit flights through third countries are being considered, including the cities of Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Cairo, as well as other open countries,” he said.

According to Gorin, currently tour operators with Rostourism are solving the issue of transporting 400 independent and organized tourists from Budapest, Hungary, 500 organized tourists from Bulgaria and about 200 from Madeira, Portugal. Also, Russian travelers are in the UK, Slovenia and Austria.

He also pointed out that due to the uncertainty and unstable situation in the world, tourists from Russia adhere to a wait-and-see attitude, sales have declined significantly, and international travel is also significantly affected by the volatility of the exchange rate, which leads to an increase in prices for tours.

The Vice-President of the PCT added that Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the Maldives and Thailand remain open for Russian citizens.

Earlier it became known that the European Union completely closed its airspace to Russia.
