One of the Internet providers in Kazakhstan suspended the broadcasting of Russian TV channels

The television and Internet provider from the city of Shakhtinsk in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, the Remstroyservis company, announced the suspension of broadcasting in its network of Russian federal TV channels, RIA Novosti writes with reference to the company's press service.

“On all Russian, so-called “federal” channels, we temporarily turned on the broadcasting of the Khabar 24 channel. Please treat with understanding,” the message says.

The provider explained such actions in relation to Russian channels by their position on covering the situation in Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in the Donbass in response to a request for help from the heads of the LPR and DPR. Ukraine severed diplomatic relations with Russia. The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.

Earlier, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the EU foreign ministers agreed to ban the broadcasting of RT and Sputnik TV channels in the EU.
