Imam: every guest is a gift from God

In Novokuznetsk, a "Pie Festival" was held, organized by a local Muslim organization together with the city's Tatar national cultural autonomy. Activists of the Muslim community presented various pastries to the competition of Tatar national dishes: gubadiya, kabartma, kystyby, etc. The event was accompanied by religious chants, quizzes, and a master class on tying a headscarf.

Imam of the mosque, master of theology Anvar Ashirov spoke to the participants of the competition. The spiritual leader of the faithful of Novokuznetsk spoke about the traditions of hospitality in Islam, stressed that a guest in a Muslim house is God's gift for the hosts, as the well-known hadith says. Anvar-hazrat also noted that many of the sweets that we see today in shops and shopping centers come from the Muslim East.
