Pork found in halal sausages in Chechnya

During the study of halal sausages, which were sold in Chechen stores, pig DNA was found in three samples of products from the Rialan Kislovodsk meat processing plant.

The examination was carried out by specialists from the Kropotkinsky Regional Veterinary Laboratory (Krasnodar Territory), accredited for all types of food product testing. They confirmed the presence of pork in three types of sausages under the brand "Rialan": "Kavkazskaya", "Kaspiyskaya" and "Odesskaya", labeled as halal products. The owner of the trademark is an individual entrepreneur from the Stavropol Territory Aliy Tatarkulov, according to Meat-info.

Ruslan Khatuev, head of the veterinary department of the government of the Chechen Republic, recommended that Muslims be careful when choosing halal products, do not hesitate to contact the seller with a request to present accompanying veterinary documents and focus on products from local manufacturers.
