In the village of Bolshiye Akiyary in the suburbs of Tyumen, an event dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day was held last week. Sports and intellectual competitions for middle and high school students were organized by the regional Tatar youth organization together with the society of veterans of the border troops and with the support of a local Muslim organization. Children competed in assembling and disassembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle, lifting dumbbells, participated in a relay race and quizzes on patriotic themes. Veteran border guards organized an exhibition of weapons from different years.
The participants were welcomed by the deputy mufti of the RMSM of the Tyumen region Amir Baldin, the head of the youth department of the spiritual administration Zufar Mukhamedshin (who is also the chairman of the Tatar youth organization), the chairman of the regional public organization of border guard veterans Nurtdin Ibragimov.
The local Muslim organization and the Regional Spiritual Directorate (formerly the Kazyyat Directorate of the DUMACHR) have extensive experience in holding spiritual and patriotic youth camps and have been cooperating with the veteran organization of border guards for many years, assisting in conducting lightning, lessons of Courage, exhibitions in villages and districts of the region.
