After hearing about poverty eradication programme from a social worker who had visited their small village of Maleshe, few kilometres from Tsabong, Ms Goabaone Kgannyeng aged, 37, never wasted time and immediately applied to be assisted under the programme.

“After the social worker had explained to me how the programme works, I started developing interest in starting my own business and I identified bakery as the area I wanted to venture into,” said delighted Ms Kgannyeng.
She explained that she was assessed in 2012 and qualified to be assisted with bakery products.

Ms Kgannyeng is now one of the poverty eradication programme beneficiaries who have been assisted with bakery products to kick start her dreams of owning her own business which she started in 2013.
