Shadow owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine, ex-State Duma deputy Gridin fled Russia

Former State Duma deputy Vladimir Gridin, who is considered the real owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine, left Russia for Monaco. Izvestia writes about this with reference to a source.

According to the newspaper, the ex-deputies own a larger share than reflected in the documents in the company SDS-Ugol, which is the owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine. The interlocutor of the publication claims that in 2021 Gridin and his son received about $ 132 million from the coal trade through the Swiss firm MIR Trade.

The miners said that Gridin's mansion stands next to the mine, and he himself was a frequent guest at the enterprise. The workers appealed to the ex-deputy about working conditions. Gridin promised to help one of the miners with an apartment.

“In the end, no one helped me with the apartment. I took out a mortgage like others. We also wrote to Gridin in 2016 about working conditions, security violations. He came and promised to solve everything. As you can see, it didn’t lead to anything, ”said Sergei.

Earlier it was reported that the owner of the Listvyazhnaya mine Mikhail Fedyaev was detained in Kuzbass.

The tragedy in the mine took place on the morning of November 25. As a result of the accident, 51 people died, including the mine rescuers who went underground after the miners. In terms of the number of casualties, this was the largest incident in Russian mines over the past 11 years.

The director of the mine, his first deputy and the head of the section were detained as part of a criminal case on the death of workers. The case was initiated under the article “Violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities”.
