The Israeli Ministry of Health has recommended that the Israeli government ban Israelis from traveling to the United States, Turkey, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Canada, Morocco, Portugal and Switzerland. The reason was the increased spread of the coronavirus, according to the press service of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that these countries will be recognized as "red" from midnight on December 22 (01.00 Moscow time on December 22), subject to approval by the Knesset (parliament) commission on legislation.

The corresponding proposal was discussed on December 20 at a weekly meeting of the cabinet of ministers.
