Rospotrebnadzor: More than 65 million Russians have been vaccinated against influenza

Russia (bbabo.net) - More than 65.03 million Russians have been vaccinated against influenza in Russia - 44.5 percent of the country's population. These are the data for December 17, according to the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

Experts also note that last week the incidence of influenza and SARS in Russia as a whole remained at the level of the previous seven days. In the total population, epidemic thresholds of morbidity were exceeded in 65 constituent entities of the country, mainly among adults. At the same time, the share of influenza viruses in the total structure of the identified respiratory viruses increased slightly.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor experts analyzed the main myths around influenza. One of them is that there is no flu without high fever. According to experts, in some patients, the flu proceeds with a temperature of 37.1-37.9 degrees, or even with a normal body temperature. Another myth: there is no runny nose with the flu. In fact, in the early days of illness, nasal congestion is often noted, which is associated with swelling of the infected tissue.
