The State Duma adopted in the second reading a bill on the abolition of technical inspection

The State Duma adopted in the second, main reading a bill to abolish the mandatory regular technical inspection of personal motor vehicles. TASS reports.

It is noted that this procedure will no longer apply to cars and motorcycles owned by Russians and used by them only for personal purposes. Also, the bill does not apply to taxis and other vehicles intended for the carriage of passengers, as well as to personal vehicles used for business purposes.

Earlier, the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that the law on the abolition of technical inspection for personal cars that are not used for transporting passengers or goods is planned to be adopted by the end of this year.

“It is important for us to pass a law on the abolition of compulsory technical inspection by the end of this year, so that in 2022 the new standards can work,” the parliamentarian said.

The first reading of the bill took place in November.
