A warning due to the dust-laden air was announced in the Korean Republic

In Southern Korea, for the first time during the last four years, a warning about high concentration of dust in the atmosphere was announced. Dust clouds from China were coming across the Yellow Sea and covered most of the territory of the Republic on February 22.

Too much dust remained in the air the next day. The high concentration of dust in winter is unusual because the deserts in China and Mongolia, where the dust flew from, are usually covered with snow this time of the year. However, current winter didn’t bring a lot of snow in these areas.

Because of this, the huge dust clouds were transferred to the Korean Peninsula by the wind.
